Suspended classes up to the tertiary level and government work in Metro Manila

THE PALACE on Monday suspended classes up to the tertiary level and government work in Metro Manila effective 1 p.m. following torrential downpour that has caused flooding in many parts of the metropolis.

The announcement was posted by presidential spokesperson Edwin Lacierda on his Twitter account, attributing the advisory to Executive Secretary (ES) Paquito N. Ochoa, Jr.

"Upon the recommendation of NDRRMC (National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council), ES Ochoa has declared the suspension of college classes and government work in NCR (National Capital Region) effective 1 p.m.,” said Mr. Lacierda
